  can those prominent in the "apostate" world be criticized?

  we expect that jws be willing to read and swallow what is written here about their leaders and i agree with this.

  but...do we also allow criticism of those taking the lead among us?

  So, a bit about myself and where I stand.

  i've lurked on this forum since about the end of '10.

  my first "apostate experience" began @ age 14. first a little backround.. i was baptised at 10, and did so mostly out of:.

  ) pressure from my mom to get baptised so that i would be safe from armaggedon(she was probably pressured from elders),.

  How often do Bethel dismiss Bethelites? Can you give us some examples of dismissals from Bethel?

  I know of one after 10 years being kicked out cuz he needed minor surgery. My ex didn't meet the 10 month part because he used physical therapy. It was normal that new ones didn't meet the 10 month test.

  some forums/boards have a greetings section for newbies, but i couldn't find one here, so i guess i should post here.. i was an active witness in the 70s and 80s but decided i couldn't conscientiously continue participating so i just dropped out.

  unlke many others, i don't have witness family.

  thus it was easy to just move & drop out.

  hi everyone, i havent been here for a while but i do pop in and read whenever i can.

  the economic downturn has left my jw husband with much less work which means hes home a lot, which means little jwn-time for me :( so many new ones here!

  Nugget-so true

  It is hard because as JWs we are taught how to make converts but not taught how to make friends.

  I'm new but not too new Think I made my 1,000 or almost

  I have no idea how to move on if 1/2 your family is still JW! You are stong a real stong Woman to be in your shoes! All I can say is God Bless! And big hugg

  I talked the first time in 20 years to a non-JW and need a divorce...

  this is very difficult to write (forgive me for any spelling mistake, i am not a native english speaker).. i cannot tell my complete story on this board - i eventually will, once i have broken the last "link in the chain" that has kept me captive to the borg.

  i can't tell my story, because.....basically i will be known.....as a more or less "famous" jw..... i have been lurking this site for many years, wrote here under another name - this eventually was found out and i had to do "damage containment".

  i had to "go back" and tow the party line....all my family (extended and close) are witnesses, all my "friends" and even work & business relationships are jw.

  Glad it looks like you are doing better. The ups and downs of getting out can be exausting! Make friends, save some money. My ex took all of ours. There is life after divorcing a JW!

  Picture watchtower march 15 2011 page 31

  this weekend watchtower study at the kh had included a picture on page 31 (watchtower march 15).. on the picture a sister is speaking / testify at a court.. at the wall of the court chamber, there are 2 pictures of imaginal political leaders.. am i wrong, do i see a joke of the wts graphic department?

  because they are very similar to 2 governing body members.. fun ?!
